Money raised will benefit two organizations
Garden City, KS-The 8th Annual Tree and Wreath Auction wrapped up on December 14th enabling toys for children in our community to be purchased just in time for Christmas. St. Catherine Hospital would like to thank the associates, physicians and community members who contributed to the Christmas Tree Auction.
Associates in various departments of St. Catherine Hospital decorate the trees and wreaths each year and the event was sponsored by the Mission in Action Committee. The money raised is distributed to different organizations each year voted on by the committee.
The Auction raised a total of $3,328 and the Mission in Action Committee was able to grant the monies to several organizations in the community, Bible Christian Church and the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Individual grants were also given to families who have requested help for their children.
“We had 577 children adopted and many of those kids would not have received gifts without the generous contributions of associates at St. Catherine Hospital” said Bob Bates, Associate Minister of Bible Christian Church.
Contributions of trees and wreaths came from: Administration, Bio-Med, Cardio-Pulmonary, Central Stores, Continuing Care, Dr. Scott and Joan Booker, Facilities, Finance, Housekeeping, Human Resources, Imaging, Laboratory, Marketing, Maternal/Child, Medical Records, PACU, Quality and Risk Management, Rehab-Care, Siena Medical Clinic, Siena Business Office, Siena Ortho Clinic, Solid Grounds, Spiritual Care, Staff Support, Woman’s Clinic and the Wound Care Clinic.
