St. Catherine Hospital Establishes Nursing Practice Council
St.CatherineHospital has established a nursing practice council comprised of members of the nursing staff.The purpose of the NPC is to provide a structure and process for all clinical disciplines to facilitate and enhance professional practice and provide a forum for addressing professional nursing issues.It is also designed to provide a forum for addressing professional nursing issues, which impact retention/recruitment of nursing staff.The NPC will explore innovative approaches to nursing practice and make recommendations for change when appropriate.The goal of the NPC is to facilitate staff ownership and accountability for practice issues and foster communication between the patients, staff, departments and council.
The members of the council were selected by the administrative staff and include: Joan Booker, Allison McVey, Angie Relph Laurie Bailey, Kate Gerber, Katrina Harris, Becky Thomeczek, Tracee Knoll, Deanna Mustin, Natalie Wallace, Tiffany Prewitt and Ashley Rich.
