Laura's Legacy Foundation Honors SCH Cancer Center

One of the highlights of the 2007 SCH Development Foundation Gala was a check presentation by Laura's Legacy Foundation. This Foundation is dedicated to the memory of Laura Kleysteuber and her indomitable spirit. Laura lost her battle with cancer a year ago.

The foundation held a 10K run in honor of Laura's memory and the funds raised will make possible her vision of strengthening the cancer resources and treatments available to those in western Kansas and to further the research needed to strive for cures for all types of cancer.

John Kleysteuber, Paige Kraus and many of Laura's friends were on hand to present a check for $40,000 to Scott Taylor, President & CEO of St. Catherine Hospital and Dr. Everard Hughes, representing the Cancer Center at St. Catherine Hospital.
