St. Catherine Hospital sponsored the first Chamber of Commerce business breakfast of 2008 on January 16^th. The breakfast is held monthly and is attended by many business men and women from the community. It provides the opportunity for Chamber business members to gather and discuss the economic development and growth of our community. Scott Taylor, President & CEO of St. Catherine Hospital spoke to the group about the growth and achievements of St. Catherine Hospital in 2007. We recruited 8 new physicians in 2007 and have recruited 3 who will begin their practices in the summer of 2008. He also discussed the many technology advancements we have made including a new 64 slice CT, upgrades to the MRI, the addition of PACS and the heart Cath lab. Our achievements included national recognition for Physician satisfaction, overall improvement in employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction scores that are higher than national averages. An increase of 5% to as much as 20% in regional referrals indicates a growing trust in St. Catherine Hospital by hospitals in our region.
