The executive team, board of directors, medical staff and associates at St. Catherine Hospital are deeply saddened by the sudden and untimely death of Dr. Phi Van. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Van’s family during this most difficult time. Dr. Van was very well liked and admired by fellow physicians and staff. As a former Garden City resident and graduate of Garden City High School he took great pleasure in providing quality medical care to the community he grew up in. 

 

Scott Taylor, President & CEO of St. Catherine Hospital said, “it is tragic and sad to see a young man like Dr. Van who had a bright future struck down in the prime of his life. Taylor also said, “It serves to remind us of the fragile nature of life and the importance of living each day to the fullest. It reaffirms our commitment at St. Catherine Hospital to continue to provide the best care possible to our community and further Christ’s ministry.”

 

St. Catherine Hospital held a memorial service for Dr. Van Wednesday afternoon.
