St. Catherine Hospital represents the finest in regional healthcare offering a broad scope of clinical care and community health services. Our facility and technology are second to none in the region. More importantly, our wonderful team of Associates is dedicated to the region's care, excellence in their given profession, building healthier community and furthering the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. It is our hope that each person who is touched by St. Catherine Hospital lives a life that is improved because of the service they receive here. If you share our dedication to professionalism and excellence we invite you to join our team.

Clinical Ladder Program/Educational Opportunities

Our Clinical Ladder program is a four level voluntary career advancement program that provides a professional framework for developing, promoting, and rewarding RN's who are direct patient caregivers and demonstrate excellence in nursing practice. There are four levels of the Clinical Ladder; Clinical Colleague, Clinical Mentor, Clinical Leader and Clinical Expert. The Clinical Ladder program applies key behavior to each level of nursing practice. The expectations for performance are built upon previous practice levels. Key words and phrases are utilized to differentiate behaviors and performance expected at each specific level. These are outlined in the following areas: clinical skills, leadership/management, education/research and professionalism. Why participate in the Clinical Ladder Program? It emphasizes learning and rewards professionalism. Once you achieve the requirements for a rung on the ladder and they are approved, you receive a differential in pay. You may then continue to climb the next rung on the ladder or stay where you are. It is your choice. This is just one of the ways that St. Catherine Hospital encourages continued learning and professionalism. We also offer educational opportunities and assistance.

We offer the following in financial options and scholarships:

School loan repayment: Any recent graduate employed as a full time registered nurse at St. Catherine Hospital and has an outstanding student loan from the government or a financial agency may receive a maximum of $9000.00 at $250 per month towards the student loan.

Tuition Reimbursement: SCH may provide educational assistance to full time associates or part-time associates working 22.5 hours per week who have completed their 90 day learning period. Individual courses or degree programs through accredited colleges that are related to the associate's current job duties or a foreseeable future position in the organization are eligible for educational assistance. SCH has the sole discretion to make that determination. Educational assistance payments are made in the form of tuition reimbursement. Reimbursement is limited to 75% of tuition expenses with a maximum of $150.00 per credit hour. A maximum of 20 hours per calendar year and/or a maximum of 10 hours per semester are allowed.

Nursing Scholarships: Given to RN or LPN students in conjunction with the Kansas Board of Regents. The student would have a commitment to the sponsoring hospital and must meet eligibility requirements including an interview process.
