  • Our Behavioral Health Unit offers assistance for adults and teens with mental health concerns.
  • Benincasa is our hospitality house located within walking distance of the hospital and is provided at no charge to the families of our patients.
  • Our Social Services department is staffed with licensed social workers that are available to assist patients and families in a variety of situations.
  • Lifeline is a personal emergency response service that enables most users to continue living independently in their own homes.
  • Nutritional counseling is provided for our patients with specific dietary concerns. Our registered, licensed dietitians assess patients’ nutritional needs and help them achieve nutritional goals. Often patients are referred for counseling when a medical condition warrants a change in nutrition and/or diet. Our dietitian will provide educational services for those patients who must follow a particular diet regimen for their continued recovery.
  • Our Emergency Room offers a SANE/SART room and staff. SANE is a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner; a registered nurse who has received advanced education in the area of sexual assault. St. Catherine Hospital has several registered nurses trained as SANE professionals who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to care for victims of sexual assault. Our goal is to provide professional, comprehensive and compassionate care to victims of sexual assault in a non-threatening environment.
  • Spiritual Care Services are available for patients and families as well as St. Catherine Hospital associates. Their goal is to provide spiritual ministry and support to anyone in times of illness, trauma or crisis. Our Pastoral team is available 24 hours a day to assist with any and all situations that may arise.
  • St. Catherine Hospital is involved the efforts to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making. Advance Health Care Directives, also known as living will, personal directive, advance directive, or advance decision, are instructions given by individuals specifying what actions should be taken for their health in the event that they are no longer able to make decisions due to illness or incapacity, and appoints a person to make such decisions on their behalf. A living will is one form of advance directive, leaving instructions for treatment. Kansas Advance Directive forms are available here DNRForms. Interested persons may contact St. Catherine Hospital at 620-272-2222 and ask to speak to a Social Worker if they would like assistance in filling out an Advance Directive.
